Overview
The Cockerill 3030 is the medium-caliber member of John Cockerill Defense's Cockerill 3000 Series modular turret family, built around a 30mm MK44S or XM813 chain gun fed by a two-drum system holding up to roughly 250-255 rounds of 30x173mm ammunition, including US Mk 310 programmable air-burst munition. The all-welded aluminum-armor turret provides ballistic protection up to STANAG 4569 Level 5, has 360-degree traverse and -10 to +70-degree elevation for engaging both ground and low-altitude aerial threats, and carries a coaxial 7.62mm machine gun plus eight smoke-grenade launchers. It has been integrated onto multiple partner platforms, including FNSS's PARS Alpha 6x6, and was trialled under a US Army ARDEC cooperative research agreement for Stryker up-armoring.
