1. Acceptance
By accessing or using WeaponSpecs (the "Site") you agree to these Terms of Use and to our Privacy & Cookies policy. If you do not agree, please do not use the Site.
2. What the Site is
The Site is an independent reference that compiles factual specifications of defense systems — fighter aircraft, tanks, air defense systems, missiles, UAVs and small arms — from publicly available manufacturer pages, defense-ministry releases and reference publications, and provides comparison features. We do not sell weapons systems and are not affiliated with any manufacturer or government.
3. No warranty; accuracy
The Site and all content, specifications, comparisons and tools are provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, express or implied. Published defense-system specifications are frequently approximations or marketing figures rather than tested values, and programs and figures change over time. Always verify any figure against an official or classified source before relying on it.
4. Not professional advice
Nothing on the Site is procurement, legal, operational, engineering or financial advice, and no feature on the Site is a substitute for a qualified defense professional's assessment, a formal procurement process, or an official government or manufacturer quotation. Do not make procurement, operational or safety decisions based on the Site alone.
5. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, WeaponSpecs and its operator are not liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, consequential or special damages arising from your use of, or reliance on, the Site, its data or its tools, including any loss of data, profits, business or goodwill.
6. Your data & saved selections
Selections and choices you create in our tools (for example the compare builder) are stored only in your own browser (local storage), not on our servers. We do not back them up. We are not responsible for any loss of that data for any reason — including if you clear your browser, use a different device or browser, lose your device, or if a share link stops working. Keep your own copy (export or copy the share link) if a selection matters to you.
7. Intellectual property
The Site's original content, structure, design and database compilation are owned by us. Brand names, model names, trademarks, logos, product images and referenced documents belong to their respective owners and are used for identification and comparison only (see our corrections page). You may link to and reference our pages, but you may not scrape, bulk-copy or republish substantial parts of our database, or use automated systems to extract our content, without our prior written permission.
8. Acceptable use
You agree not to misuse the Site, including by attempting to disrupt it, probe its security, submit unlawful content through forms, or use it in violation of any applicable law.
9. Third-party links
The Site links to manufacturer pages, defense-ministry releases, reference publications and other third-party resources. We are not responsible for the content, accuracy or availability of those external sites.
10. Sponsored content
Where any content is sponsored or commercial in nature, it will be clearly labelled. Editorial specifications and comparisons are not paid placements.
