Overview

Corsair is Saronic Technologies' 24-foot autonomous surface vessel (ASV), the company's first platform to reach full-rate production and its highest-volume US Navy program to date. It is rated to carry up to 1,000 lb of payload over a range exceeding 1,000 nautical miles at speeds above 35 knots, and has been used for maritime-domain-awareness, surveillance and logistics-support missions, including a publicly reported at-sea recovery of a downed drone off Oman. The US Navy signed a $392 million production contract with Saronic for Corsair in December 2024, and the vessel has since been employed alongside larger Saronic platforms in fleet exercises supporting the Navy's push toward larger numbers of low-cost autonomous surface vessels.
