A gas-piston-operated carbine combining the AR-15/M4 ergonomics with HK's short-stroke gas piston system for improved reliability. The A5 variant, adopted by the German Bundeswehr as the G95 and by French special forces, adds an ambidextrous control layout and free-float rail.
